Cape Town Wine Excursion: Stellenbosch

This full-day excursion from Cape Town takes you into the Stellenbosch winelands, where natural beauty and refined craftsmanship meet. Rolling vineyards stretch toward mountain peaks, oak-lined avenues lead to elegant estates, and every stop feels thoughtfully curated. The route follows Helshoogte Road and Annandale Road through the heart of the region, with time at wine estates set among art, architecture, and panoramic views.

The day is built around handcrafted signature wines enjoyed beneath ancient trees with almost cinematic mountain views. One wine tasting is included, paired with crostini, cheese, and chocolate truffles — a sensory introduction to what these estates do best. Additional tastings and pairings are for your own account, and guests must be 18 or older, with ID possibly required under South African law.

The excursion runs approximately 9–10 hours, departing at 8:00 a.m. aligned to your cruise ship's arrival and returning by 6:00 p.m., with pickup and drop-off at the designated tour area at the V&A Waterfront cruise terminal known as Markers Landing. Allow at least 45 minutes from docking to clear the terminal. Included are transfers with vehicle and fuel, an expert English-speaking guide, and the one wine tasting with pairing. Entry fees can be pre-paid or paid on-site, and meals, beverages, extra tastings, and gratuities are not included. Have breakfast on the ship before docking, and dress smart-casual with flat, comfortable shoes.
